When you choose to work with me, you choose to give back with me.
I believe that we can change the world through education and supporting women who are working to provide a better life for their families and their communities.
Giving back = sharing our abundance to create change.
Through my business (which is possible with your support, thank you) I choose to support:
The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program recognises that disadvantaged children need extra support to stay at school and go on to further studies or a job. Learning for Life helps create better futures for children in need by providing:
- financial assistance from a sponsor to help disadvantaged families afford the cost of their child’s education;
- support for a Learning for Life Program Coordinator to connect the child and their family to local learning opportunities and other supports; and
- access to Smith Family educational programs to help children get the most out of their school years.
One Girl work in Sierra Leone and Uganda, some of the worst places on earth to be born a girl. A girl born in Sierra Leone is more likely to be forced into marriage as a child than she is to go to high school. the One Girl scholarship program provides a girl with everything she needs for school. Books, bag, uniform, school fees, shoes – you name it! Day-to-day realities mean challenges are bound to come up, so they support the girls all the way through to their graduation.
Kiva provides microloans to support women starting businesses, going to school, leading their communities and building strong families. On average women reinvest 80% of their income in the wellbeing of their children.
If you’d like to learn more about how Kiva helps women in third world countries build a better future for their families and communities Half the Sky is a great book to read.
