WHAT IS HEALTH COACHING?

 

By definition:

“Health coaching, also referred to as wellness coaching, is a process that facilitates healthy, sustainable behavior change by challenging a client to listen to their inner wisdom, identify their values, and transform their goals into action.”

 

 A Health Coach is a certified holistic wellness practitioner that looks at an individual’s diet and lifestyle and offers recommendations in order to improve overall health and happiness.

I trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where some of my teachers included Dr. Andrew Weill, Director of the Arizona Centre for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Centre; Dr. Walter Willet, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
 
My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins or to create a list of good and bad foods. I won’t send you off to ‘Boot Camp” or run a marathon (unless that’s your thing!).
 

I teach women to create simple and healthy daily habits for weight loss, more energy and increased health.
